Yea, I've seen it on TV. It's a disgrace for a country hosting the 2010 world cup.

Interesting article. Of note, it mentioned nothing of "dropped packets" so we should be able to assume that all ground observers were also spared the embarrassment of whitened hair and/or clothing.

Now, if this wasn't enough, let's pose another question - If it takes almost an hour to download 4 gigs of data from a memory stick, what kind of computers are they using over there?

    ;)

Only 4% of the data transferred in the same time the pigeon transferred it all.

Thanks for the clarification but I got the 4% transfer compared to the pigeon's flight and the subsequent data transfer. I think I'm guilty of reading between the lines again ... explanation follows.
Since the pigeon was carrying a 4 gig data stick and it took one hour for the data to upload, I question what kind of antiquated equipment they are using. Their problems appear to be significantly greater than the broadband connection alone. After all, how long does it take to upload 4 gigs of data from a memory stick.

    ;)

47 minutes to clean off the pigeon p**p and 13 minutes to get the data of the stick.
