I've just completed all that you have instructed with the exception of windows updates which is what is currently happening.
The laptop seems stable and I can say that your assistance is greatly appreciated.
I will be starting a new thread shortly with my personal system to see if everything is good with it since from this experience I have definitely learnt a lot more in relation to viruses and spyware.
I do hope that the laptop will continue to work well and as you instructed I will monitor it over the weekend and post periodic reports on its progress as I use it like any normal computer, by then all windows updates should have been installed.

I will run the defrag now and see how things go from there.

My desire is to also become a part of you'll team as this is one of my areas, so maybe you can give me some info as to how I can participate/or learn how to become like you.

Again I want to say a heartfelt thank you.

In that case, you'll have to start new topic at Windows section.
    Your computer is malware free.

I will do that, would that mean I have to do everything like I did when I started this post? Run DDS etc?

    No, not at all.
State your problem and mention, that you went through malware removal, and your computer is clean.
