I'm trying to help my sister...when she brings up Display Properties (XP Pro)all the tabs are missing except for Themes. We have tried the Group Policy setting and they seem to be okay.

She doesn't know how this happened unless the registry was changed when she ran the Uniblue Registry Booster.

How does she get the tabs back? We have "googled" the problem and tried a few things but nothing has changed.

Can someone please help us. Will appreciate it!

Thanks...I'll pass it on to her and see if it works.

I had seen this when I did a google search but didn't know if it was for real or not--you never know when you're surfing the internet.

She went to the site and it did find some registry errors but she really doesn't want to pay the money for the fixes.

Is there some free program that she can use or any other suggestions? I did find that she can go through the Control Panel Appearances and Themes and find all the tabs.

    Thanks!

She must have clicked on the "Download Now" button.

Tell her to look below that button for the link, "showalldisplaytabs-xp.vbs" and click on it to download a small .vbs file. Tell her to click on the Save button when it asks what she wants to do with the file and remember where she saved it.

Once she has it downloaded, all she has to do is find the file and double click it to run it.

Like Miz said, have your sister click the download link of the vbs file and not the download now button. If she downloaded a registry cleaner program by mistake from that website have her remove it since its most likely a scam.

Great. I am glad I was able to help you get your problem resolved. :) Issues like the one you brought up can be caused by having malware installed on the system or having restrictions that are set in the registry.
