    Outlook 2003 11.8169.8172 SP3

I recently set up Google apps and a gmail account using IMAP.

Now when I use Outlook to send messages they appear in my sent box without the 'To' details and no 'Sent' date.

If I click on the email it then populates the details, but I send many emails and refer back to them often, so at the end of the day I sit clicking on each email to populate the details - there must be a solution.

The sent mail is in my 'personal' sent folder is fine, but the IMAP folder is the problem. I share this email account with another PC so need to use the IMAP sent folder.

I tried to set up a rule which said "when sending a mail from 'this account(gmail)' move a copy to the 'IMAP(sent)' folder - this sorted out my problem in Outlook beautifully but I had two copies of the sent email in gmail (when I checked the account on the internet).

I would really appreciate some help here. I cannot find this issue in FAQ.

Thanks TonyT, I set up the rule as suggested, Outlook is fantastic....all fine, but when I look in the Gmail account it is duplicated - one sent from 'me' and the other sent from my name 'Shireen Almanza' as set up in Outlook.
NOTE: If I reply to a mail it is OK and only displays once in gmail - but if I send a new email it is duplicated in gmail.
Also, the sent emails show as unread now?
Any other suggestions to stop the duplication? I am baffled again.
    Thanks:)
