    After first installing AOL, if I clicked on Internet Explorer when I wasn't connected, then AOL would start too.

    I have noticed that this feature only lasts a couple of months, 2 of my mates have the same s/w as me, and it worked on theirs too but not for long............

    Mine has now gone the same way, and I spoke to AOL, and they said to alter the auto launch settings off the taskbar icon.

    I did this, but still the same. The option within "Auto Launch" is set to "Automatically Start AOL ".

    It's as if AOL isn't seeing IE, and IE comes up with a "Cannot find Server" type page (the address bar reads "C:\..........\dnserror.

    How can I get AOL to start when I open IE?

    Cheers.

    This is the opposite of the usual request, so I'll try the opposite advice.

    Open Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Programs and uncheck the box at the bottom about whether IE should check to see if it is the default browser.

    :D Solved!!! :D

    Internet Explorer ->Tools ->Connections.

    The setting "Always dial my default connection" should be checked.

    Job Done.
