Last spring I created a video CD and made a copy of it successfully with Roxio Easy Media Creator 7. It played very well on my TV. My friends who got the copy were also able to play it on their TV. I also made an image file of it, which I guess was also successful, although today it's hard to tell.

I've spent most of today, trying to make a copy of that image file to send to another friend. I can make one that plays on my computer, but I can't make one that plays through my DVD player to my TV.

I give up for tonight, but hopefully one of you out there will be able to help me figure out what I'm doing wrong tomorrow. Please try.

    Hi Alice,

I'm not too familiar with this type of problem so perhaps others will chip in.

    A couple of pointers though,

Are you still trying to burn a Video CD or have you converted the video for DVD?

If video CD be aware that some DVD players may not be compatible with this format and obviously you need a CD not a DVD disc.

Make & model of both DVD players in question (your's and your friend's) may help.

Thanks, Wildfire, but we haven't changed our DVD players; they're the same ones that played this video CD last spring, so I'm guessing that isn't the problem. I appreciate your responding, though.

Imgburn is what I use. Writes an image file (.iso) to DVD and will play on any DVD player.

Thanks for responding, BMoore. I've learned more since my last note. My file is a C2d file, not an ISO file, which is probably my problem. C2d is a special Roxio nomer. So now my problem seems to be how to convert that to an ISO file. Any ideas? Anyone?

Alice, are you saying you no longer have the Roxio program? C2d is a Roxio image file? So it should do it again. I don't have Roxio so can't help you through the use of the program. Maybe someone in here uses Roxio and can help....

I do still have the Roxio program, BMoore. I guess I could just start all over again and forget trying to make a copy from the C2d file.

Do you --- or anybody else out there --- know how to convert a C2d file to an ISO file, using IsoBuster? I have IsoBuster, and I've tried using that, but something isn't working right there, either. I found the Help file, "Converting from/to different image file formats," in IsoBuster and followed that, but it didn't find any files. So I tried to find the files with IsoBuster; no luck. I think my C2d file must be corrupted.
