    Hello all,

First time posting. Have pulled a lot of good info off of this site in the past and decided to finally register. So here goes.

    http://support.gateway.com/s/PC/R/3726/3726nv.shtml

That is my comp that I currently have, I have it upgraded to 2G of ram. I recently bought a new gfx card....http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127412

And now after putting that new card in a red light on my motherboard flashes on and off, and my monitor will flicker on and off(like its going into sleep mode)...nothing ever turns on. I'm thinking it's probably the PSU but I just wanted to make sure its nothing else before I make any more purchases.

I'm running XP. Ummm let me see I think thats about it. The PSU I have in there is only 300w(low I know)...So basically I wanted to know if anyone could direct me to a PSU that I can use preferably on newegg. Was hoping for something 500+

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Kukamunga85,
    welcome to Windows BBS ... :) ... !

I deleted your second post which was a duplicate (more or less). If your first few posts contain links, you need to wait for moderation (approval).

Yeah I was at work and after I hit submit I had to close the window right away, on the second post I noticed that it needs to be approved.

    Sorry about that.

Hoping to hear back about this, or if anyone out there needs to know some more info I can supply that.

Your first link goes no place. Bad link. 300 may be enough. Don't know what you have as far as drives go. DVD, CD, HD's etc. That would make a difference. Found your CPU and looks like you have CD and DVD drives. 300 may be enough. You could try unpluging the power to one or both of your drives and see if it boots up. That would tell you if it was not enough on the PS. I think that it is. Could be something with the card.

I tried that, unplugged my dvd-r drive.

Same results, I plugged my old card back in and that works. So I guess maybe it is the card, I'm going to try the card on my friends computer and see how that goes.

I'll let you know what happens.
