Hello, I'm a novice in this forum and I don't speak english very well so, I'm sorry for my mistakes.
Well, I have a problem with Medion' s Card Reader; 2 months ago for an accident (don't ask me how, I didn't even remeber how I did it...), I plugged off the wires of the connectors and now I can't fix them because I don't remember how to put them back.
Does anyone have some photos o could do some photos to the connectors so I can fix the mess I made?

    The card reader is this:

    Here the connectors:

hi, try to ask support from your manufacturer? or any manual or what? try to check whether there's any labeling on the connector that match on the motherboard label...polarity is not to worried as you notice there's a pin on your connector which is block or the no pin can go in..
just try to match that on your mobo connector... I notice your connector got different colors check whether your motherboard indicates the color also..if it has then just try to follow... but to be 100% sure..check your mobo manual if ever you have or check with any tech person... :)

Hi, the problem is that I bought the card reader in bulk version and not with my pc. There is no manual; medion has a bad website, you can't see any manual or other; piece's name is Medion connect flash 2.1 and I found nothing.
I saw it selled on ebay, so I asked to the seller to send the photos (asking please) but he ignored me...
Well I only can wait for someone who can help me...

    Thanks for your help!!!

It is not that simple :)

I see you copied the images from another site as they are also in this thread .....

    http://www.windowsbbs.com/hardware/84050-all-one-card-reader-plugs.html

The black 4 wire lead is audio, the yellow 4 wire lead is probably video. Those 2 are fairly certain and safe enough to connect

The white and yellow (9 socket + 1 blank) plugs are of USB type of which 2 are required, one for the USB ports and one for the card reader.

The black plug of the same format is reversed - the top right hand socket is blanked off whereas the bottom left socket is blocked off on the white and yellow plugs. This may be the firewire plug.

However anyone of those 3 plugs will fit both a USB header or a Firewire header on the motherboard ......

Connecting a USB cable to the Firewire header on the motherboard will damage the motherboard

CONNECT THESE 3 PLUGS TO THE MOTHERBOARD AT YOUR OWN RISK

I do not recognise the blue plug - it may be a second Firewire for the smaller socket.

My advice to you is ......

Open the case of the Medion if you can and determine which sockets the various plugs are attached to, or .....

For complete safety replace the Medion with a new unit with fitting instructions.

    Answering Petec

Yes I know there was a similar thread, but Bryza (user with problem) had problems with drivers not with hardware, in fact I tried to contact her, she could be my answer, but nothing yet...

I'm assembling a new computer, the old one can't support the card reader so I would like to install it on the new pc, but first I prefere to be sure about the wires...

    thanks to all!!!

oh, tell me if my english is good or at least understandble :)

Your English is just fine and perfectly understandable :) My Italian - zero :(

I really can't offer any further guidance beyond what I said before ....
If you can open the case of the Medion it should be straightforward to see which plug is attached to which socket - that would be my way forward.
