Hide IP Programs

    Such programs, as well as proxy servers and TOR networks, can mask the true IP address most of the time. But ALL of them have weaknesses, A Website doc can contain code that forces the user out of a proxy network or that can obtain the real IP address no matter what cloaking system the user employs. For example, a Webpage could contain embedded java, flash or other multimedia content that sends back the user's real IP address. Other methods also exist. There is no such thing as 100% anonymous browsing, even when using TOR.

    To achieve 99.99% anonymous browsing using one of those anonymizers one would have to disable all plugins, including acrobat and flash, disable java, javascript and all cookies. That makes for a rather dull Web experience.

    Thanks Tony for clarifying all the points. I tried the trial version of the above software and it considerably reduced my speed.

    How to google for rating websites ? I tried (hide my ip + ratings) and hundreds of them turn up. Is there some reputed geek sites that do these ratings ?

    You can try proxify.com they update a list of sites and most are ok. I heard they are charging so not worth paying if they are. There are a couple of programs/hardware out there that will assist in this but cant remember. Keep in mind that your ISP for the most part sees all. Also many of these proxy sites do not handle dns request which may give you away.
