In our network we have a network with PCs in a workgroup and one PC on a Windows Server Domain. All PCs are on the same network (192.168.0.0). Shared folders on a workgroup PC from a domain PC can be viewed. However vice versa cannot be done (even when shared and folder permissions are set to everyone). Is this normal?

    Thanks

Have you created a Domain user account?
(Programs > Administrative Tools > Active Directory Users and Computers)
then give the user permission to access the shared folder!

    hope this helps!

I browse to folders on domain PCs with a non member PC all the time.

I have a user account on the domain and when prompted for credentials I enter domain\user name followed by the password. Works like a champ.
