    Hi,
    Windows XP, Office (excel) 2007.
How do I edit an office 2007 spreadsheet so it has only 2 rows (I.e. A and B)?
I don't know how many columns I will need but would also like to limit them.
    Thanks

I doubt you can do that - the no. of available rows and columns are probably hard coded into the program.

However this is an approach I use in 2003 ....

Set up the spread sheet with the no. of rows/columns required

Add a border to the spreadsheet area to be used together with column borders and cell borders if required.

Then Tools > Options > View and under Windows Options uncheck gridlines

    Result see attached.

    Hello and thanks for replying.
I don't know how to set up the spreadsheet to have 3 rows and 9 columns to begin with (as you have in the Excel.jpg).

Click on the cell which will be the top left cell in your mini spreadsheet and holding down the left mouse button drag to highlight/select the required cells. Then proceed as I posted

If the position of the mini spreadsheet is not in the right place in the window horizontally adjust by deleting or changing the width of the blank columns to the left and for the vertical position by adding or deleting rows above. Best to do this before hiding the gridlines.
