W2K3 Window Explorer slownees in opening files

    Hi all,

    I am having a issue with one of the servers which runnin on w2k3 SP2 whereby there is a severe delay of approx 30sec or so in opening files (notepad, MS off app etc). However, no issue with opening the files in command prompt (almost instance). I suspected the windows explorer to be the cuplrit of this..

    Troubleshooting done so far:
    -Disable AV : no good
    -Defrag drive: no good
    -Reboot server: no good

    - CPU usage 0%-10%

    Acess method:
    RDP to server (VMWare)

    Explorer version: 6.0.3790.3959

    Please kindly advise
