HP printer prints a test page when turned on

Helped my buddy with a few computer problems but his 3rd problem has me stumped. It prints a test page (might be an alignment page) the first time it prints after turning the computer on. It even did this after I uninstalled the driver. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to resolve this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Steve, Thanks for suggesting it, but I already tried the knowledge base. Because you suggested it I tried it again and did not have any better luck the second time.
