Hi, Sorry to bring this up but I have a problem when tryng to install Office 2003 Pro on my laptop with Vista. I get an unable to proceed note saying I need an 'uplift'. From previous threads I assume this is SP3 required. I have un-installed copy of Office 2007 Trial. If my assumption is right, then do I install Office SP3 first then re-try installing.
    Regards
    Tony

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

Not sure I'm following you...But any version of Office 2003 should install just fine on Vista..When it's finished you shoud get updates for it.

Thanks for the reply Steve but I mean Office 2003 won't install on a vista machine. I get a dialog box up saying 'unable to install as my office 2003.exe file needs an uplift? What ever that is.
    Regards
    Tony

Office 2003 will install on Vista and Windows 7. I had problems installing Office 2003 ages ago and the way I got round it was to download the Windows Installer Clean Up tool and deleted any Office entries from previous installs, Office then installed without any problems.

Can't say I've ever heard the term "uplift" in reference to computer software. Are you by any chance translating that from a non English language?
