No body can help me huh? Quick time has no idea what thier product needs. Why does microsoft include something that has no support unless you buy something? I was hoping that someone here simply knew the files i should download to make this thing work. Guess not..

wolfgpa, why don't you just "Google" Quiktime as there are quite a number of Apple sites with all the info and help you require. Neil.

Thanks. I have tried that and it shows me several applications but no clue as to what I need. You would think that Quicktime would come with these applications or be clear on what is needed. We are just talking about a small chat room.

Last night i removed quicktime and installed the latest version after scanning for any remaining files. Same thing. Ran a registry cleaner as well as CC Cleaner. Same result. Keeps trying to send me to an apple site and I have no idea what they want me to download. A bit frustrating that Apple cant make things a bit clearer. Obviously no one quite understands what additional files I need, not even Apple. Was unable to explore that site Neil, Quicktime error. Go figure. But thanks for trying. All i need to do is take the correct path. Apple has me walking thru the forest in the dark.

I know your feeling. I had Quiktime install when I downloaded some software and Apple was continually wanting to install an update but it wanted me to install iTunes which I didn't want. It would not do one without the other --- so I uninstalled Quiktime. That stopped it!!! Neil.

I have current versions of everything. When I tried to update java there was an error. I have one thing that constantly shows up in McAffe scans. Generic Pup. McAfee seems unfamiluar with it. I have removed and replaced Quicktime maybe a dozen times. One thing good is when I find the error I remember it. Thanks Neil. I am Wayne
