Hello, I installed Microsofts Windows7 RC build 7100 from their web site on two PCs
Laptop#1 I did an in place upgrade x64 and the Homegroup Icon is there.
Laptop#2 I did a clean install x32 and Homegroup Icon is missing.
Any ideas on how to get it to apear on laptop #2 ????
I know I can create a shortcut on the desktop, but on laptop #1 it is not a shortcut, it is an Icon like Computer, Recycle bin, etc
    Thank you

    I don't see that in the x32 version - closest is .....

Right click on desktop > Personalise > Change Desktop icons - check Network.

That maybe the problem, is it is just not suppose to be there in the 32bit version if you don't see it either.
What I did for a work around is just dragged the Homegroup onto the desktop and created a short cut to it.
Thanks for the help, I can stop trying to fix the un-fixable. :)
