I'm trying to help someone export their Outlook Express email address book so that it can be imported into Windows Mail. I know it has to exported to .CSV format then resaved into UTF 8 using Notepad. The problem is, I can't seem to get the contact groups to export. Does anyone know if this is possible, or if there is a way to get the groups back during import into Windows Mail?

I'm pretty certain you can't export groups.
I googled "OE export groups" and saw many people in the same boat you're in.

PeteC, I checked out the link but that's the export/import process I followed an it doesn't preserve the contact groups.

Steve, I've googled it too, found several links to forums with people asking the same question but there were no solutions posted anywhere. Was hoping someone here might have found a solution.

This person's address book has a lot of groups in it, not looking forward to having to recreate all of them but sure seems like that's the only solution. Good ole MS, never making things easy.
