Will the much missed MS FrontPage HTML Editor/Web Page design program install and run in the "Windows XP Mode" of Windows 7?
    Thank You :)

I would think so as the XP mode is, AFAIK, a Virtual Machine running within 7.

Have you tried loading FrontPage to 7? If you post back with the version of FrontPage - 2003 or 2007 I will give it a shot as I too use FrontPage for my website and have yet to evaluate that aspect.

Thank You Peter. I upraded my compuers at the wrone amd have 2 x Vista but would move to W7 on at least one if it will do the job. I have a few copies of FP but I think they would be 2003. But I am sure I could get 2007 if they are copies around. I wasn't aware of it.
The info on W7 says the 2 upper versions of W7 have this XP mode to run XP Productivety Programmes. I though FP was deleted by MS so I wonder if it is included.
    Cheers

    Update ....

There was no FrontPage 2007 - my bad :( - FrontPage was superseded by Expression Web which is a standalone like FrontPage. There is no equivalent in Office 2010 - I am also running the Technical Preview of that.

However the good news is .....

I just loaded FrontPage 2003 to Windows 7 directly - installation went without a hitch - updated and activated and as far as I can see on a brief rummage through it works perfectly :D

    You're welcome :)

Although FP is 'old hat' and not highly rated I have used it for years to write and maintain my website and a couple of others and find it so easy to use without needing any knowledge of html :) Expression Web baffled me and I don't have the time or the inclination to battle it when FP does just what I want.

I agree Pete. Expression Web is noboby's piece of cake. I'll be back on FP ASAP.
