Resolved Can't play DVD [on external DVD player]

I converted some .mov video files downloaded from my camera to .avi files using Rad Video Tools. I used the Cinepak codec. (top on the list)

I then put them together and burned them on a Magnavox DVD+R using Windows Muvee Maker.

The disc plays on the computer, but not on the DVD player.

Did I miss a step? Or make a wrong step? Pick the wrong codec in Rad Tools?

Does your DVD player play .avi files and read DVD+R? If you don't know go to http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers and put the name and model in the seach box.

 

I've recorded other projects using the same media, and they played OK on my player.

I think that .avi files were imported into Windows Movie Maker, but they were saved out of that as .wmv.

Is there an option to save the project in another file type that might make a difference? Thanks
