I have a Jetway MOB and I am trying to flash the BIOS in order to use a new HDD I have bought, which is 40GB. The current BIOS only supports 32GB. I have tried the BIN from Jeyway and although the flash appears to work, the BIOS isn't updated (the date doesn't change).
I am using AMDFLASH with BXAS2D01.BIN.
    The BIOS is AWARD V4.51PG
    V.7BXAS_2/7BXAN-2 D01 08-12-1999
    08/12/1999-i440BX-W977TF-2A69KJ1CC-00

Any help would be gratefully received,

    Thanks:(

    Ok!

What brand of HD if it is Western digital or maxstor then go to their wessite and down load their install utils and it will allow you to use all of the 40G!

    Good luck!

It's actually an Excelstor (never heard of them before but seems OK!)
There site doesn't have any install software, which is why I am stuffed.

    OK!

Maybe one of them OEM this drive! So try their install programs!

Or you could try this http://www.23cc.com/free-fdisk/

It is a free enhanced fdisk suports up to 128g. I have never used it but I have good reports!

Also consider making 2 partitions either 50/50 or the 1st partition less than 32g!

Thanks Mike, I'll try the FDISK util. I have the drives partioned 50/50 and it's only showing 19.4.

Remember, I'm not sure they handle the BIOS support like Western Digitals EZ Bios!

If it don't work then try the WD and Maxstor they might just work!

Give us a report on the FDISK program!

    Good!

Thanks for letting us know! So you think this is a good FDISK program. Was it easy to use with good instruction/documentation?
