Sticky key on Sony laptop

    This Sony laptop is a bit more than a year old, and its warranty has expired. I just noticed that I have to hit the 'x' key hard in order for the character to print. Is there anything I can do to make it type smoother?

    Have you tried turning your KB over and tapping to see what comes out? If nothing falls out, try a little spritz of soda water around the x key to dissolve the sugar from a drip of sugar liquid that may have invaded.
