Hi guys, my PC has recently started freezing and shutdown after a blue screen flashes and the pc dumps its memory. I reformatted the pc but the problem still persists. I have downloaded your program to generate a log have found mini dumps but cannot find the txt file the is being produced after I generate it, it says "once the dos window has closed the log has been saved as c:debuglog.txt but when I looks its not there.

Am I doing something wrong ?

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

No - it would seem that an old version with a syntax error in the file save location has reappeared - I'll see to that, apologies :)

In the Debugwiz window check the Advanced box and edit .....

    c:debuglog.txt to c:\debuglog.txt

    Please be aware ....
The dump log seems to be incomplete, but this is the important part ....
0xC000009D, or STATUS_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED, indicates defective or loose cabling, termination, or the controller not seeing the hard disk.

Your first step is to check the cable connections and if no fault found check the cable itself by substitution.

If the problem remains unresolved it would be worthwhile reloading/updating the chipset drivers for the mobo and while you are at it check out the hard drive with the manufacturer's disk diagnostics (if the drive is a Toshiba you are out of luck here) ....

    Disk Diagnostic Software ....

    ExcelStore

    Hitachi/IBM

    Samsung

    Seagate, Maxtor, Quantum

    Western Digital

Bottom line, if none of the above work - your mobo may have a flaky controller.
