My linksys 5 port switch stopped working right. I had to keep resetting it and then I still couldn't connect. I had a 3com 4226T switch that I would like to use, however I am unable to find any documentation for accessing the switch to find out what ip address the switch was set at. My understanding is that the switch was more or less plug and play but when I connected it I couldn't connect to the internet. I could connect to the other computers on our network but not to the internet.

    Thanks Tony,

Unfortunately, there is an ip address assigned to the switch and I can't find it to reset it. the device doesn't show up when it is connected.

If using a router check it's client tables to locate the address.

Or use angry IP scanner to find it.
