It's a problem that just appeared this morning. I have created no new rules or made changes to my mailbox settings for a long time, actually.

I have rules set up so that when a mail comes in from my CIO, it goes to my CIO folder, instead of my Inbox. Those come in just fine. But if I get any mail, and it ends up in my Inbox, the program crashes and pos up and error reporting option and to restart Outlook.

I exported my mailbox to a pst file and ran the inbox repair tool. However, I'm trying to find the original inbox file to replace with this newer one.

I'm assuming it's on our exchange server somewhere, but I'm coming up zeroes when searching for "*.pst" files.

No, if you use Exchange you will likely run a combination of OST and PST files... depending on how your system is setup.

There is no original inbox file, all folders (and emails) are stored in the PST file.
