Resolved Cannot move big file to NTFS network drive

    Hi,

    I have a 500 GB harddrive connected to my home network through a Linksys NSLU2. Currently there is 326 GB free. When I try to move a ~2 GB file to the network drive, Windows replies that I have to free up some space. The harddrive is NTFS formatted.
    Has anyone got a solution?

    PS: in the dialog where Windows says I have to free up space, it also says that there is 326 GB free. Now that's weird.

    I would check the external hard drive again, it is giving you the exact error message you would receive when the drive is FAT32 formatted.

    When I highlight the networkdrive in My Computer is says "Filesystem: NTFS ". Is there any other way to check it, just to be sure? Maybe the hdd is running FAT32, but the NSLU2 tells my computer it is running NTFS...

    I have tried both moving and copying.

    I have resolved the problem by upgrading the firmware. Duh. Didn't realize that I was even able to do so. Anyway, thanks for your time :)
