Strange happenings when trying to install Netscape 7.0, I get this error message: Netscape XPCom:- 207 Can't_Read_ Archive.

Before I installed the Win XP SP1, I had no problems installing Netscape 7.0, but now any version of NS 7.0 (full install or from setup file) fails.

I've tried it with everything running in the background disabled, but that makes no difference... any suggestions on what might be causing this problem?:)

    Hi Harold7,

Both MS and NS are looking into a problem with ZLIB.DLL, a common file that can cause the XPCOM -207 error.

Look for it in the Windows or NT directory (folder). If found, rename to ZLIB_DLL.BAD. Try installing NS again.

Let us know if you continue to have problems.

Thanks Ramona, that fixed it right up for me... Hopefully this is something that will be fixed in future versions.:)
