I must have done something wrong. Now when I set a folder view to Thumbnails, leave the folder, and come back, view is back to Icon. If I set Thumbnails, Tools, View, Apply to all Folders, I cannot change back to Icons. This is something new for me.

Iwent to Shell and ShellNoRoam and found 2 Bag MRU Sizes, 1 5000 and 1 500 in each place. I removed the 500, and it did not help. I then changed each to 8000, and that did not help. I rebooted and that did not help. I found the same things in HKEY_USERS, so maybe everything should be fine.

I found an old work around. It added to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrrentVersion\Policies\Explorer NoSaveSettings=dword:00000000
Now folders work the way they should. So with your help and my getting lucky, we are back. Thanks a lot.
