[No POST, no display, no CD drive function]

So, i was dumb. I decided i was "too busy" to download and install a fresh new licensed Anti-Virus program. And, i hadn't "gotten around" to installing malware bytes yet. I was basically going Commando in a dangerous world.

I got the Alureon virus. So, i set out to extract it. I installed Malware Bytes. But the virus wouldn't let it run. I installed Windows Live One Care (because it let me). That is what told me that it was the Alureon Virus. But, WLOC wouldn't remove the virus. I looked around on the net for possible ways to get it out. I didn't see any of the usual suspects in the registry to remove. The more time wore on, the more effects i could notice in my computer's new "sickness ".

This morning, i set out to go after that virus and really do it in. Boy did i get a surprise. I can no longer see anything on the monitor. I dont get a POST or a BIOS logo screen on boot up (which i had set it to do). I get nada, zero, zilch.

When i try to re-format with an XP CD, still nothing. When i try to Boot and Nuke, nothing still.

Any advice? (i cannot post any error logs or scan logs, as i cannot even see anything on any monitor i hook the computer up to. It is not an issue with the monitor or cables, as i have used different ones that work to troubleshoot.)

 

the fans do power on, the mobo has power LED on. I don't hear the typical sounds from my HDD when the computer boots up. So, i am starting to wonder if there is just a coincidence that my power supply cannot power everything at the same time i got the virus.
i have a triple core processor, 4GB Ram, and a 1 GB video card on a windows XP pro OS.

 

I had no externals connected, apart from the monitor(s). I will be trying to switch out the power supplies and then later the video cards. I will post the results after i trade out the hardware one-at-a-time.
