Hi to all other members. My friend purchased a Dell 6 months ago. The problem i hope someone will be able to help us with is - on pressing the key board letters are missing. Dell the maker have sent three engineers to fix it with no luck. And after requesting a replacement was refused. Can anyone tell us what to do next. Thank you .

If the Dell techs can't fix it, we're all in trouble. I would keep after them to make it right..

Is it a desktop or a laptop?
Guessing that you've tried a different keyboard?

    That doesn't work!

Either they fix it, or they replace it... simple.

But I think there's more to this right?

To Steve R Jones .The computer is a laptop. The tech guys from Dell have fitted 2 new keyboards to date and still the same. I think we should get in touch will Computer Active or one of the computer magazines .What do you think ?

FWIW - This side of the pond the laptop would be considered 'Not fit for purpose' under the Sale of Goods Act.

It might be better to try Truth or Consequences.

    ;)
