How to open IE-8 in full-window?

How do I get IE-8 to open in full-window from desktop shortcut and when used opening links? TIA

Thanks so much Pete. I printed out your instructions and downloaded the software. I appreciate the comment that you've used it a long time with no issues.

Since I posted, I opened a new "blank page" window from desktop shortcut, and held down Ctrl key while I sized it to a full window. Now all origional "blank" windows and links are opening in full window. However, I know this only lasts for a day or two before it goes back to a downsized window, so the software would be a great answer, especially since the full window can always be downsized with the "down" button" where you loose this feature when you resize that window up.

It's interesting that I have asked this question many times over the years and no one has ever mentioned this Freeware. Again, thanks
