You should be able to view by IP address or computer name. So for a PC called fred on a local domain called company.local, and with an IP address of 192.168.0.100 any of these should work:

    http://fred
    http://fred.company.local
    http://192.168.0.100

However, you do have to make sure that any firewall software running on your computer will allow incoming TCP traffic to the http port 80. Oh! and those address formats should work on fred itself.
