Windows Vista Vista Keeps Rebooting

Hi Guys, First Post here.

Well here's my problem, I just got a new laptop, by MSI off of Newegg. My first initial startup of Vista was fine, I installed misc software like AIM, vid card drivers, etc, and I shut it off. When I go to turn it back on, it keeps saying, "Your system will reboot automatically as soon as the installation is completed. Please do not turn off the computer when this procedure is being performed. "

But no matter how many times it restarts, it constantly loops. I am not able to use the laptop basically. I'm not sure if it's what I'm installing that's doing it, or if it is something with the OS. I did a clean vista restart through the MSI like F8 background program thing, and it was good until I finished installing those few items.

I'm basically asking for a workaround, because I would obviously like to keep my drivers and such. Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Are you using a dell laptop or an HP laptop?
Okay..whatever it may be, you can try the following steps:
1. As soon as you will press the power button, keep on tapping the F8 to go to Advanced Boot Options.
2. Go to safe mode with networking.
3. In the start search box, type Msconfig.
4. Right click on msconfig.exe
5. In the system configuration box, go to Start-up tab
6. click on Disable all, click on Apply and then on Ok.
Restart the system and then see what happens.

If you do a software or driver installation and at the end it's says the system must be restarted, but gives you the choice of doing it later, that is only to allow you to save any open files. You should restart immediately (not run other installations, in case that was what you were doing). Even if I install one or two programs that do not require a restart, I restart anyway.

The problem could be an incorrect "driver and such ", so don't work too hard trying to save a fresh system like yours. If I have problems during an installation or until the system is fully set up, it quickly gets "the axe ". I don't want to run a possibly crippled system.
