    Hi everyone
I have Netscape 4.79 and thinking of getting Netscape 7. Is it a good thing? Before I download it wanted to make sure it was as good as Netscape says. Any input please???
    :p

Personally I liked 7 over 4. I'm also pretty sure when you install it it won't install over 4 so you won't lose anything.

Have both installed. No prob. installing 7 along side of 4.79. Many say 7 is faster. I can't say that I can detect that. My 4.79 races right along; it appears to be just as fast.

Because I'm more comfortable and familiar with 4, it remains my primary browser. Have IE6 as well, YUK! Nuff sed. Once in a rare while, I'm forced to use IE.

    Using WinXp Home, dialup.

On line install...you only download a small setup file ( a few hundreds k), double click it, a setup connects to the internet, downloads and installs rest of Netscape
Full install...You download all needed files (20-25MB), and install Netscape at your convenience
Now, i don't think it makes any difference
I remember when in old days I tried on line install N4(...), it never worked, I had to go through full install
I had no such a problem with N6(...) or N7

There is no difference in the online installer and the full installer, other than the size. However, if you are on a dialup connection or tend to get disconnected a lot, the full installer is recommended. Additionally, the full installer can be burned to cd for posterity. ;)

Some people tend to prefer these other N7 versions... which are a smaller download when compared to the N7 full installer (32mb).
