    Terminology in question ..........

Reformatting erases all data and programs on a computer's hard disk drive, including the operating system. After reformatting, one must begin from scratch and install the operating system, mainboard and peripheral drivers, all software and then update all of the above. For the most part, several hours are required and thats before restoring any data files that may have been backed up to secondary media.

I would suggest you talk to your husband and reach agreement as to exactly what he did and then redress your inquiry. If he reformatted simply to resolve a sound problem you are married to one of a kind - hang onto him or pack your bags and run like there's no tomorrow.

    ;)

Thank you, Rockster, I just snorted coffee through my nose. Wade has just ripped up every one of the floorboards on the front porch because there was a weak spot in one of the boards. Lowes must love us.
