    Hey all

Short and simple - I'm new to the world of computers. I know how to turn one on, install something, uninstall something, play a game and turn it off. I am in need of help... I recently installed Windows XP Professional on my computer - I had Windows XP home/student edition. So after I installed the Professional edition, I uninstalled the Student edition. Now when I turn my computer on I am promted to select whether I want to run the Professional edition or the Student edition. Needles to say, when I select the student edition it cannot be run because I uninstalled it.

Now, can someone please explain to me, in simple terms, how I remove the option to select either Windows XP Professional or Student edition, when I turn my computer on. (I hope this is making sense)

    Best regards

    Beethoven, Try this:

Click START > RUN > type msconfig press Enter > Boot.ini button > Check All Boot Paths. It should detect that the Student Edition path is now invalid and offer to delete it.
