    Hi to all.

Whenever I run a complete scan with the subject program, my pc freezes when scan is about half way finished. Prior to about 4 days ago, the scan always used to run completely..

Also, whenever I go to the following link and click on any topic in the message board my pc freezes. These are the main 2 programs that causes a freeze, but sometimes Internet Explorer freezes up also.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you tried to uninstall AntiVir and reinstall it, to see if that will fix it.??

Well, I tried un-installng and re-installing and I finally got it to work..

I am not fully satisfied with it as I tried many times before it worked ... its like I had to play a trick on it...

Most of these programs can run while you are doing other work on your pc ... Avira used to work this way as well, but this time I had to let it run by itself without doing anything else on the pc.

If you're unhappy with Avira try Avast - I have both (individually) on various computers without issue.

Thanks Pete, will look into this, but will give Avira a further chance, maybe it will be ok.
