Resolved Upgrading XP to SP3

    I have done this at least 4 times and each time I have to start over and reload the computer. I have an AMD 64 and I was told there was a problem with SP3 and that processor. Does anyone know it the problems have been corrected? I have been sitting tight for several months because I don't want to go through this again. What makes it worse it is my wife's computer and anything that goes wrong with it is my fault. Now she is complaining about a long boot up process, she turns it on and goes to make a cup of tea. I am at a loss as to what is slowing the boot process and I am afraid if I load SP3 again it won't boot at all like the other 4 times.

    Help!!!
