    Dear Friends,
We have a Global Email Server with which we use to establish a VPN connection while roaming. From last 3 Years this connection is working fine, today some of the users complaints that they are not able to establish VPN connection with the server. They are getting following Error Message during connection VPN error 691: Access denied because username and/or password is invalid on the domain and "You credentials have failed remote network authenticationâ€

Now I have made preliminary checks.

    1. Account credentials are up to the mark.
    2. Accounts are not being locked out.
    3. They have rights to dial VPN connections.
    4. While accessing that user credentials from Local Network (i.e. LAN/WAN) we are able to access emails (means there is no chance of lockout of the account)

Kindly suggest me the solution for this problem.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Sourabh Basak

I think that looks like the key information. Check the property that defines whether a user has remote access rights. From what you are describing, it appears that the problem is not that the user account or password is incorrect, but rather that that account does not have remote access rights.

    Also u could try

I agree with ReggieB make sure you are using either an admins account or you have set the rights for a normal user to use remote access.

Also if you cant get that to work ive found that "Team Viewer4" Is a great program, it works just like remote access, only you can do more. It is accessable for download at http://www.teamviewer.com
If you download this I and other users will be able to access you if u give us ur ID and pass, and we can work much fater to resolve this problem.

I'd have to advise against giving relative unknown people access to your PC.
