I would like to host a secure web server. For that i planned to install the Apache Http Server ... There they had talk about open ssl..

I want to know Whether we need to integrate the open ssl to the Apache Http Server or its inbuilt with the Apache Http Server ?

if we need to integrate the open ssl manually .. please give me the step by step instruction for hosting a secure web server for a secure transaction..

You didn't say anything about needing to find an ip address.

Anyway, if this is a home server then no need for ssl at all. That won't make the Web server secure. There are a hundred easy ways to hack into a home Windows server, mostly overlooked things by the person who owns the computer. SSL uses 128k or 256k encryption for the connection. SSL security is used primarily for logins to sites that use credit cards.
