Powers up, fans spin, but no video

I have a problem similar to Hawk22.
I am working with a brand new MB & other parts used.
When powered on, I get lights on MB, fans spin up, but no video.
I have tried three different video cards, same response. No video.
Any advise?

 

Are you sure the video cards are in the right type of port? The three common types are AGP, PCI and PCIe. Have you tried another monitor cable/port on monitor/monitor? Do the graphics cards all work in other PCs?

 

Yes, Video cards are ok. MB actually calls for AGP8x, but docs say it accepts lower #ed.
I am confident that the cards do work. Maybe one may have picked up some static, but not all 3.

 

Is it only an AGP port on the mobo?

And it may be that you have a faulty motherboard.

 

MB is brand new, right out of box.

 

Doesn't mean it can't be faulty
