    Hello!

I just bought a new SATA HDD, 1TB, and i installed it. motherboard detects it all nice and dandy, and i just worked out an issue with my keyboard not working during a certain boot process.

Now, i have the burned ISO DVD in the drive. I put it in, shutdown, reboot. There IS a thing that says
    Boot from CD: _

    __

but first it doesnt say press any key, and when i do, nothing at all happens. Could someone help? BTW, my keyboard lights DO light up during this sequence, so its not my keyboard. And yes, the CD Drive is first in boot seq.

    Thanks!

Burn the ISO again but at a slower speed.

Did you simply burn the ISO you downloaded to DVD? That will never work - an ISO is an image file.

In your chosen burning software look for an option to 'Burn Image' or words to that effect. In Nero 7 this is under Recorder > Burn Image. This produces a bootable CD/DVD.

Aye, thank you so much! Thats what i missed :p

Im posting on a windows 7 operating System right now :D

    but one question

my sound doesnt work, and im almost 100 percent certian it's my drivers as my sound works in winxp
    some things though:

windows doesnt say anything wrong in device manager. if my sound doesnt work, wouldnt it say something?
How do i get my winXP drivers onto my win7? i have a biostar motherboard, and im afriad that sound drivers for winxp or even vista wouldnt work. Any ideas?

Heck, how do i found out my vendor for my onboard sound?

Care to name your sound card? The HD driver won't be enough, you'll probably not using HD output anyway.
