Hello Everyone. I have a problem with the Drop part of drag & drop, as long as I do not hold the left mouse button down to long when I am in position the item is released ok, too long and it and is not released from the pointer.
This occurs when the laptop finger pad is used and also with a replacement mouse. This is on a Dell Inspiron 1150.
    Any ideas out there?
    Jim.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

Not sure what I'm missing? Isn't releasing sooner the solution?

In Control Panel>Mouse, poke around for the "Click lock" option. If there (on mine, it's on the "Activities" tab) and is checked, uncheck it, click OK and see if that fixes anything.

Thanks Miz, that did the trick, the Click Lock box was ticked, working correctly now.

    Jim.
