Hello, I'm not sure what happened here because they have always worked before. But now the hyperlinks in email messages I receive AND those I insert in my calendar items and tasks WILL NOT OPEN. I've looked at some of the other threads with this problem, and I haven't found anything that will help. I use Firefox (although I do have IE7 on my computer because my husband likes it). We have recently installed a new version of McAfee (VirusScan Enterprise ver. 8.5i). Could that have something to do with it?

I am at a loss. I would appreciate some help.

Can you create a new user profile in Windows & try and see if it works there?

If yes, it is likely a problem with your security settings, so I'd look into McAfee's settings.

Thank you, Arie. I opened a new user profile and the hyperlinks do not work there either.

I have also reinstalled Outlook, and I disabled McAfee for a while (had no effect).

    Any other thoughts? :)

Do you have all the service packs installed?

    Try the following:
To select Word 2003 as your e-mail editor, follow these steps:
    Start Outlook 2003.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
    Click the Mail Format tab.
Click to select the Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages check box.
    Click OK.

If Word is already enabled - try disabling it.
