Perhaps your user profile is corrupt. Create a new user profile and see if it works properly. If so there is a process for copying the old user profile to the new so you won't lose any Desktop icons and such.

Reference Scroll down to "Copying your user profile. "

This may not won't work for you... But I figured I would post this solution somewhere. I had a folder left from an install that I couldn't delete on my Windows XP machine. I tried: renaming, moving, deleting in safe mode, deleting in MS-DOS, deleting with Delete FXP Files, deleting with Unlocker (plus one or two more programs), deleting after running CHKDSK, deleting after defragging, anyway I tried just about everything I found posted online about this problem. I was finally going to try one more thing: delete the folder from DOS using the folder's short name. The folder that I couldn't delete was located behind about six folders with long folder names, and was taking forever to get to from DOS. So for simplicity's sake, I renamed the six folders in front of the undeletable folder the numbers 1-6... After I did this I could successfully access the folder which actually contained data. I then deleted the folder.

I hope this helps... If not then just do a google for "undeletable folder" or "can't delete folder" or the specific error you're getting from Windows when you try to delete the folder. There is a lot of info out there on this problem.
