I have had a all in one card reader given me

It has all different connectors on it and would like to use it.

My problem is i only have one spare USB 2.0 Connector on my motherboard.

Can you buy a 2,3 or 4 wire conector to connect, or is there something i can buy to connect all the plugs.

The plugs on the all in one has 1 x USB 2.0 there are 3 other plugs with the blanked hole in a different place to the USB plug, and there are 2 x plugs.

    Links bellow of the plugs

I'm guessing the reader came out of an HP pc....

Do you have or plan on getting cards to be used by all the different slots?

Find the model number of the Reader, it should be on a label on it. Do a websearch for the number or see if you can find the manufacturer's website to get the manual/user guide. I could help you search if you can tell us the make and model number. I found a similar all-in-one, but there weren't any manuals for download at their website (probably only on a CD that came with the device).

The other connectors will be Firewire, video, audio, (others?). You may be able to match them to connectors on the motherboard (the blue one appears to be a "Front Panel Audio Connection ").

I wonder if it came with a PCI card that those connectors/plugs connected to. I have not seen all those different connectors on a motherboard.

What happens when you connect the USB connector? I wonder if some of those are "if you don't have this connector, use this one ".

Sorry, I haven't connected one. I am looking at my own motherboard manual.

You might be only able to connect those that you have connections/headers for.

If your motherboard does not have any extra USB connections, add some. This adaptor sports 2 internal USB connectors.

As for those other connectors, the black 4-wire is for audio. The yellow 4-wire, I am guessing, is for video.

As I suggested, they may only include the setup information on the original CD or even a booklet that came with the device.
