Start Menu System Info not responding

When clicking Start>All Programs>Accesories>System Tools>System Info the
hourglass icon stay on for a moment, disappears, no result(s). Even system restore did'nt resolve.
Appreciate an assist, thank you very much.

 

If Pete's suggestion doesn't work, click Start > Run and enter "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo\msinfo32.exe" /categories +all and press enter or click OK. If that opens the info as you like, then go to the selection in your menu that is not working and right-click it and select Properties. Put the same line as above in the Target field and you should be back in shape.

Edit: To remove the line wrap and make the command clearer, since it's important to have the spaces and quotation marks inserted correctly:

Thank you PeteC & Surferdude2...both suggestions didn't work: 1-CD is older than WinXp SP3 that I downloaded & update to. 2-My Help & Support service is not running, this could be part of root prob. Where might I go here ? Tks

 

Start > Run > type services.msc press enter or click OK. Scroll down to Help and Support > double click it and set it to Automatic and then Click Start. That may get it done.

If not, there's more drastic measures HERE.
