That's sound strange to me. Easy CD creator v4 & v5 works great on my system with win2kpro.

Anyway, Nero 5.5.6.2 is a good choice for CD-RW.

    yes

you have to install the patches from roxio, but it is worth it.

You can install winme after 2000 is installed but it is complex and a pain in the @zz to get going. It is easier to fdisk the driver, create 2 partitions, install ME on c:\ , and install 2000 pro on d:\

I don't have to install any patches. Just a fresh CD install makes easy CD creator working great.

As stated before, get the patches!! No need re-learning something if all you need is patches.

DEFINITELY GET THE PATCHES IF YOU PLAN ON MOVING TO WINXP ANY TIME SOON!!! Read all you can at Roxio's site BEFORE you upgrade to XP...it will save you much grief!!

As far as the dual-boot thing....I'd start from scratch and get ME loaded and running on one partition. Then, while in ME, throw the Win2K CD in and go...it'll recognize that you're running ME and dual-booting from there will be smooth...
