I recently un-installed my Window 7 install on my second HD. I have since then re-formatted the drive, yet when I reboot the computer I still get the Windows boot menu to select the version of windows to boot.

Ho do I get rid of that menu? I have even done the Bootrec.exe /FixMBR and /FixBoot, and still have the same boot menu.

I avoid making a dual boot for that reason. To run the Windows 7 beta, I installed it on a different HDD, when I want to change boot, I go into the BIOS and change the boot HDD.

You can modify the Boot.ini file, but if it is messed up you won't be able to boot at all.

A workaround...go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Startup and Recovery -> Settings button. Under System Startup uncheck "Time to display list of operating systems" or set the time to 0 seconds. You might need to remember you have set that if you want to make a new dual-boot in the future.

Thanks mattman. I actually used easybcd.exe and it worked just fine.
