getting new Desktop

Chiles4 thx for that, what i meant by not updating every app i was thinking more of: Office, Photoshop, autocad and so on.

anyways i just realized something (and this i have no knowledge what so ever about so any tips will be welcome)

as i mentioned previously that PC will be the core of my home cinema.

so ideally i will have:
my satellite receiver
surround sound
HD LCD
hooked up through the PC
I will also be using its optical drive as DVD player (same for the Blu-ray player when i decide to get one).
So ill be needing HD compatible Hardware.

I am currently doing my own research on the matter and will post my findings here and request for additional help on that matter if needed.
