IE8 Tool Bar

Giving IE8 a try and right out of the gate I'm having trouble getting the toolbar pared down in size.

The issue I'm having is after unlocking the toolbar is moving the specific toolbars onto one or two lines. The first problem is the favorites bar. It apparently must reside on a line all by it's lonesome. I wound up removing the favorites bar and am trying to re-educate myself to find my links in my favorites list. Then I have Roboform and it will reside on a line by it's self or share a line with the menu bar. Nothing else apparently can be put on the line with the menu bar and roboform. Finally the command bar either has a line to it's self or can share a line with the tabs.

I can't believe MS would be so short-sighted as to imagine people wanting their tools spread out all over the top of an IE page. Since I said that I can only assume I'm missing out on a fundamental option to adjust/position the toolbars in IE8.

If someone would be so kind to point out my blindness to what must be an easy fix here.

    Thanks...

I've managed to move the command bar onto the same line as the favourites bar.

Hi Aggletonm. How did you do this? When I try all that happens is my cursor moves to where I want to move the bar but the bar doesn't follow.

Sorry - been off for a while. All I did was unlock the toolbars, highlight the vertical bar next to the home page icon and move it up to the same line as the favourites bar. I've also just checked on a Windows 7 RC device with the same result. I can't get the bar to go anywhere except right-justified though.
